Orizon Energy was built around the idea that the work we do should contribute to a better future. For us, that responsibility does not stop with the energy systems we install. Orizon Cares gives our team a practical way to contribute. We build infrastructure where it is needed, raise funds for children and families, help youg people gain access to sport, and volunteer close to home. These efforts are important because strong communities depend on people and businesses choosing to participate in them.

At the end of each year, members of the Orizon Energy team travel to a community where hands-on support can create a meaningful difference. Working alongside local organizations and community members, the team contributes to practical projects such as homes, solar arrays, playgrounds and community buildings.
These trips bring together the skills we use every day with a much broader purpose. By helping create safe spaces, reliable infrastructure and places where families can gather, learn and grow, our goal is to support work that will continue serving the community long after our team returns home.
Every year, Horsepower for Hope brings Edmonton's automotive community together in support of the Kids with Cancer Society. Drivers, sponsors, volunteers and families take part in a city rally and family event with one shared goal: helping children with cancer and the people beside them through every stage of the journey.
Orizon Energy is proud to return each year because childhood cancer affects the entire family. The funds raised help the Kids with Cancer Society provide free programs to families across Northern Alberta and beyond, including counselling, accomodation, financial and educational support, clinical programs and pediatric oncology research.
Playoffs with Purpose turns the energy of playoff hockey into support for young people across Oil Country. Led by the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation, the annual campaign raises funds for Every Kid Deserves a Shot, an initiative that helps remove financial and access barriers so more children can experience the confidence, connection and belonging that comes from sport.
Each playoff season, Team Orizon rallies around the campaign through donations, office events, friendly challenges and team fundraising.
In 2026, Team Orizon reached its $10,000 fundraising goal. Across the full campaign, 579 supporters helped raise more than $154,000 for the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation.
Orizons Annual Volunteer Day at Edmonton's Food Bank gives our team a direct way to support the community we call home. Team members work inside the warehouse sorting donations, preparing food hampers and helping move essential supplies toward the individuals, families and community organizations that rely on them.
The initiative combines volunteer time with financial support. When Orizon launched the tradition in 2024, the company pledged $100 for every participating employee. Nineteen team members took part, resulting in a $1,900 donation in addition to the work completed that day.
By returning each year, we hope to grow both our participation and our contribution while helping one of Edmonton's most essential community organizations continue its work.
Orizon Cares is an ongoing commitment. Every annual trip, every fundraiser and volunteer day gives us another opportunity to contribute, learn from the people and organizations we support, and bring more of our team into the work.
